I gotta tell ya; I have a soft spot in my heart for every single person I interview for my numerous podcast series.  They’ve all enriched my life; and, for the most part, we’ve all had a good time together.  But once in a while I have the good fortune to encounter someone I really hit it off with.  One such person is David Cantero.  And he is back with us again this week for Part 2 of our chat for The Erotic Mind podcast series.

You know how I keep tellin’ ya that The Erotic Mind podcast series is all about conversations with noted erotic artists of every stripe from all over the world, right? And how our discussions are geared to uncovering something of the creative process involved in this specialized art form, right? Well then, today we take an audio field trip to Europe; Luxembourg, to be exact. So we can chat with the amazing Spanish born erotic visual artist and illustrator, David Cantero.

Sometimes when we travel abroad like this there can be a bit of a language barrier between me and the artist I’m interviewing. David is such a good sport; despite the fact that his English is not as good as his French or Spanish, he still agreed to talk to us. But with just one proviso, that he could invite two of his English-speaking friends, Sean and Julian, to join him while we chatted. So today’s podcast has a bit of a party atmosphere. David’s friends lend a hand with translation when necessary. And we all have a marvelously good time.

I have an outstanding show in store for you today.  After a spate of wonderful chats with visual artists over the past several weeks for this The Erotic Mind
podcast series, today we return to home base; the world of words.

I have the pleasure of introducing you to an enormously talented author from down under, Geoffrey Knight.  He is a rising star in the firmament of the erotic novel, don’t cha know.  And besides his big fat uncut writing talent, he is also a laugh riot.  I love it when I can barely make it trough an interview because my guest and I are laughing so much.

Oh, and you should also know that Geoffrey‘s appearance here at DDSA.com coincides with his triumphant book tour in San Francisco as part of Litquake X.  All of you in the audience who live in the San Francisco Bay Area ought to high-tail it to one of his three appearances over the next week — tonight Oct 12^th he’ll be at Books Inc in The Castro; Thursday Oct 15^th he’ll be at The Supperclub South of Market; and finally on Friday Oct 16 he’ll read and sign copies of his book at A Different Light Bookstore in the Castro.
