I just listened to the letter from the andropausal man. He is indeed suffering needlessly. I myself had been experiencing many of the symptoms he described. I brought it up to my doctor, who had me checked for testosterone levels (among other things) and diagnosed me as suffering from hypogonadism, which probably also accounts for some of the weight gain I’ve had the past few years. He put me on a product called Androgel, and after about a month on it, the improvements are, let’s just say fuckin’ great! I haven’t had boners like this in some time. Funny I hadn’t noticed it much before. My wife has said she’s noticed a definite uptick in my general mood. Probably every guy in his forties should consider getting this checked out and monitoring testosterone levels more often.
